My love affair is with writing poetry
My muse is silence
My inspiration, this awe filled experience called life
My wholehearted drive, the quest to reveal the Truth
The gift I receive in return
One word or a single line
Touching the rich tapestry of your being
Enjoy and with love,
My muse is silence
My inspiration, this awe filled experience called life
My wholehearted drive, the quest to reveal the Truth
The gift I receive in return
One word or a single line
Touching the rich tapestry of your being
Enjoy and with love,
Miranda
A Gathering of Poem excerpts from
Miranda’s Poetry book, The Return Home
We are refugees returning home
to our own internal worlds Now we get to sit in the waters of our own making Motionless in the reality as brutal truths are revealed |
We can no longer ignore
this tremendous earth Her symptoms Her unfurling Her illness This shattering death march no more Earth is in menopause She no longer sacrifices for us Yet to survive Now we must sacrifice for her |
Take down the scaffolding
the structures the laws The regimes that sear your mind Tear the tiles off the roof The walls The container you outgrew a thousand moons ago Move closer as a child to a mother’s breast Suckle long Drink deep from this well From what you know to be true in your heart Drink the warm nectar Inhale deep what is already within you Choose not to leave this sacred space forever |
A surrender
into the deepening waters of gratitude A fall back into grace A collapse of all controlled A softening of pursed lips To bestow the gentlest kiss on the forehead of all we love The shadow boxer of fear The vixen of hate Laid down to rest Both a burden too great to bear |
Bare Knuckle Fighter
The tiny hands thrash into the void
Fighting phantoms of the past Knowing in time exhaustion from this crusade against reality will lay the child down Wasted into the cradled arms of support Conscious at last there is no way to win This tapping out The first blush of surrender |
A Blood Red Pilgrimage
Where sapphire waters
brim desert sands Desert dwellers Draped in robes live on this earth Bedouins A tribe of ancients |
Blood in the Waters
With nothing left to give
No marrow left in the bones The sociopath takes its last lick and walks away In search of new prey |
Where She Goes We GoKnow who you truly are
You are of this earth You are intrinsically woven into the tapestry of nature You are her child She is your mother Allow yourself to stumble Succumb to her affection Life a sacred encounter as we walk these lands |
Scorpio Nature
Praying to be unfurled
Unleashed from traditions The seed is stirring Cracking open her husk to be stunned by life This potent power of simply being Nourish the embodiment Animate what is tender embryonic growing within you |
Blood Root
Elder
Know you earned your place The dog ears of experience The cry lines birthing a smile The ache of bleached bones inscribed with story The blood thinned by heartbreak The skeleton weathered by winds of time Wrinkles in the brain Scorched ten thousand times over A slowing of the heart The desires as ambition lies breech |
The Thaw
How could I not know
the grandeur and beauty of a lake’s thaw A coveted secret beneath a canopy of shedding leaves The silent orchestra uncelebrated anonymous in her beauty The frozen earth cracks and moans unnoticed The ice she groans in the breaking of her back The spine flails the undulating current of water below bursting at the seams |
If Love was EnoughThis bag of bones would have survived
A miracle would return If love was enough to stitch the wound stop the pain heal the disease return to health If death had not come in her dark fury shrouded in time If the explosion of love for you in my heart broken into a thousand pieces could banish death in the light of hope Sending healing to the cells Sealing the hemorrhage of the blood This ravaged body would obey my heart Tired to the bone The silent bleed of life force would stop Sutured by love If love could cure the wound Heal the body If my love for you was enough I would be here now With you Always If love was simply enough |
